I had a lot of work to do when I decided to (finally) start posting to the site again.  I could build on what I had or I could start fresh.  After looking over my previous blog structure and posts… I decided it was best to start from scratch.

I messed around with Drupal a little and I really like it.  It is great and it has its place in the world.  Just like I think linux is great for servers, but not ready for the desktop yet (here comes the flames).  For blogging, you just cannot beat WordPress.

Now for theming.  I remembered that I used to spend hours crafting the perfect theme.  I slaved for days making sure every little pixel was perfect.  That’s when I realized something; that’s the part of blogging that burns me out.  Why invest so much time in something that does not really matter that much?  There are dozens of themes out there that look great and only take a few minutes to setup.

So here I am on a standard WordPress install running a free stock theme I found on the web.  I know, not really geeky.  However, I am able to get the site online and functional very quickly.  Besides, it’s the content that matters… right?
